AmiAmi tracking FAQ

Which AmiAmi shipping method is fastest vs. cheapest for large anime figures?
DHL Express (2–5 days) and Japan Post EMS (4–8 days) are the fastest air options; ECMS Express (7–14 days) is a mid-priced air consolidator; and Japan Post Surface Parcel (2–4 months by ocean container) is the cheapest option for oversized 1/4-scale figure boxes.
Why hasn't my AmiAmi Surface Parcel (`CC...JP`) updated for 60 days after 'Dispatch from outward office of exchange' in Kawasaki?
Japan Post Surface Parcel travels by ocean container ship from Kawasaki Port (Kanagawa) to your country's sea port (such as Jersey City, NJ or Richmond, BC); there are no GPS scans at sea until the container unloads and clears customs 8 to 12 weeks later.
How does AmiAmi Surface Mail Premium (SMP) work for the US?
With Surface Mail Premium, AmiAmi consolidates parcels into its own ocean container to California; once the container clears US customs after 2–3 months, AmiAmi emails a domestic USPS or UPS tracking number.
